The Swiss legal framework
Company addresses are business data from public sources, but using them for outreach follows clear rules.
- — Marketing emails to companies require an existing business relationship or a demonstrable interest, and always an unsubscribe link (art. 3 para. 1 let. o UCA).

- Can I just buy Swiss company addresses?
- Address vendors sell ready-made lists, often per record and with an unknown refresh date. Swiss Lead Pro works differently: the list is generated at search time from public sources, every row shows its source, and you pay a subscription instead of paying per address.
- How current is the data?
- Every search queries local.ch, search.ch, Google Maps and Zefix live. There is no internal address database ageing in the background — the data matches the sources at the moment you search.
- Is an email address always included?
- No. The email is looked up on the company website (contact, imprint, including obfuscated formats). Businesses without a website or without a published address appear with a phone number but no email.
- How many addresses does one search return?
- There is no fixed cap: the deep search pages through the sources completely. Volume depends on industry and area, from a few dozen in a small canton to several hundred in Zurich.
- What format do I get?
- CSV, one column per field (name, address, postcode, town, phone, website, email, UID, source, distance). Ready to import into Excel, Numbers or a CRM.
- Is commercial register data included?
- The register is used for validation: UID, seat and registration status are added via Zefix whenever the match is unambiguous. For a single company, use the free commercial register lookup.
